Due to the severe winds, first responders were unable to dispatch an ambulance, prompting the sheriff's office to send deputies to the family's residence on Thursday.

A deputy transported Zenia, the expectant mother, along with her partner, Javier, to a nearby hospital, as reported in a Facebook update from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Other deputies accompanied a relative in a different patrol vehicle.

Later that day, the deputies returned to the hospital to check on the family and were informed that Zenia had given birth to a baby girl named Jade at approximately 1:30 p.m., according to the sheriff's office.
