mCoves user agreement disclosure
Users are individuals who use our platform for either buying or selling purposes or have any direct or indirect affiliations with mCoves Marketplace. Our terms of service, privacy policies, rules and regulations are an agreement between the user and mCoves Marketplace and no other third party. Read these terms and privacy policies to understand what is required of the user and why they're required. Abuse or violation of the terms listed below will lead to the suspension of a user's buying or selling privileges, account, and any new subsequent accounts. These terms are binding and cover all services offered by mCoves, its partner sellers and other companies managed or directly or indirectly affiliated with mCoves Marketplace. As partners, sellers, suppliers or businesses selling their products on mCoves can draft their individual policy, which governs only the products they sell on mCoves. However, policies drafted by our partner sellers are secondary to our Money Back Guaranteed policy. E.g. if a supplier, seller or business states on their policy that no refund will be allowed, and they did not fulfill the buyer's order or the order was not as described in the product listing, regardless of the seller's policy, in case of no fulfillment, the buyer gets their money back after 72hrs. In case of an item not as described, the buyer can request a refund of their payment and have the item returned to the seller, except on products listed for parts, broken, or non-working condition. Items listed as for parts, broken, or non-working have no return policy and all sales in such a condition are final. We value our customers, sellers and suppliers, and will work hard to facilitate a seamless business transaction. Everyone is welcome to sell anything legal on our platform, once they're willing to abide by the rules and regulations that guide our platform, we're happy to have them, none business or suppliers are referred to as individual sellers.
Businesses can also registered to sell their products and services directly to the consumers on our platform.
Suppliers of various products can registered to offer their products and services directly to the consumers on our platform.
We don't welcome scammers, spammers, or anyone with the intent of ripping people off, our AI will automatically deactivate and suspend such account.
How can I register to sell on mCoves?
Users who wish to sell on mCoves have to first rent a cove that suits their selling needs, then fill out the seller application.
Government issued ID is required for all sellers no exceptions, individual seller will provide SSN in addition to a government issued ID while businesses and suppliers are required to provide EIN in addition to a government issued ID.
Once the seller dashboard is activated, you can start selling after setting up how you'll get paid, either by creating and linking your mCovesPay account or linking your PayPal account.
- Can I have two seller accounts?
No, any duplicate accounts will merge into the old one, we don not allow users to have more than one accounts and multiple attempts to create duplicate accounts will automatically suspend the seller indefinitely. - Can I get verifed?
Yes, getting verifed is easy click the get verified link below your profile and follow the easy steps. Verified seller acounts will get a blue badge with check mark to show they have completed verification. - Can I recover my selling account if I lose access?
Yes, you can click the recover account link on the sign in page to recover your account, both user and seller account respectively share the same log in information. - Can I create a new account if my old one is blocked?
No, when blocked, the violator's device and IP will be blocked, and any attempt to create new account will instantly result in our AI merging the new account with your old blocked account which will remain suspended. - Can I appeal seller suspension?
Yes, appeals can be submitted through the submit appeal link that will appear on your account after suspension; it typically takes 3 to 5 working days to get a reply, you can only appeal your account once and any decisions made by our trust and safety team are final.
Product returns or exchange durations?
Sellers have their individual return policy for each item they sell depending on the condition, return duration ranges from 5 to maximum of 15 days, when the number of days specified by the seller on the ordered product has expired, the return button on the order detailed page will disappear, and the ability to return will no longer be available to the customer, the transaction will become completed and any active chats with the seller will be closed. The seller can decide to offer free or paid returns. In free returns the seller will provide the buyer with the return label, whereas in paid returns the buyer will handle the return shipment of the item back to the seller, a shipping label with tracking is required for any transactions, restocking fee will be charged on certain product categories. In cases where the seller didn't ship out your order after 3 days, we'll cancel the transaction and refund your payment refer to our peace of mind policy for more details. When the buyer's return request is within the time frame specified by the seller and the reasons for return are credible, and our order department approves the return, if the payment was made with stripe or mCovesPAY, the processing fee for the order, also known as the surcharge, will NOT be refunded. This is because our financial partner doesn’t refund processing fee with the exception of payments made through PayPal.
How does mCoves point system work?
Earn points when you spend up to $100 or by completing certain chores on the platform, such as product or page sharing on social media, or converting using referral your link. These actions listed above will earn 2 points per completed task. However, retracting, removing or deleting the shared content from your social media will automatically deduct the awarded points and further restrict the user's access to our points system indefinitely.
Earned points can be used to pay for orders, complete transactions from participating sellers on the platform, earned points don't go away or expire, and can be used at any time. Eligible product will have a pay by points label on the details page, and the option to use points will appear on checkout page, mCoves point system is only available to registered members only, not yet a member? register.
Can I meet the seller locally?
No matter where the meetup point is set to take place, local meet ups are risky and very dangerous transactions. These types of transactions are deemed high risk and, for that reason, we don’t allow such. However, there are exceptions in cases where the item falls under the heavy duty category, such as cars, heavy machinery equipment or other categories where local meet ups are allowed. In such meet ups the buyer is required to pay for the commodity to mCoves first, then the customer and the seller can plan their meetups and after the transaction has been completed successfully, we'll release funds to the seller. If the deal falls apart, the buyer will be refunded according to our refund policy, read the terms for more details about refunds. Note our Peace of Mind Guarantee Policy doesn't cover local meetup transactions, all sales in such categories are final and as is. We're not responsible for any unplanned events that may occur during any local meet ups even if the products falls under the heavy duty category, but will help customers through unforeseen events during any local meetings that meets our requirements and criteria. Do not ask the seller for local meet ups on products that doesn’t falls under the heavy duty category, it's not allowed.
What is prohibited on mCoves?
We frown at any illegal materials such as weapons, guns, drugs, and marijuana; anything illegal is strictly prohibited. We use different algorithms, customer reports, and AI software to scan and remove such listings using visuals (pictures), you can't fool our customer report or AI software, a repeat violation of this term will automatically suspend the seller indefinitely after their third violation.What actions are deemed prohibited?
Creating more than 1 account will merge all your accounts into one and suspend it. We only allow one account per device mac address, we do block devices that try to create duplicates or a second user account. Banned users can still buy from mCoves as guests but are not allowed to create a new account, trying to do so will block your device's mac address and ip indefinitely, further denying the ability to buy as a guest.
Chargeback is prohibited on our platform, although we have chargeback protection and your bank will decline any chargeback attempt. However, trying to dispute a charge through your bank will permanently disable your account, plus all buying and selling privileges will be terminated without appeal. Our peace of mind policy is designed to make life easier for all customers, read the terms and be conversant with them. All returns, refunds and other disputes are handled by our order department. You can reach our support team through live chat located on the lower right side of every page or by visiting our help page.
Using obscenities on our live chat team members will get the user banned from using the live chat support system. We have zero tolerance for abusive words towards our partner sellers or our employees. Everything should be handled amicably with full transparency. If you disagree with a live chat agent, ask to speak with their level supervisor.
Trying any form of scam is highly prohibited on mCoves platform. Our Ai systems are tuned to detect fraudulent accounts and to intercept and delete any fraudulent messages sent to any of our partner sellers. It automatically detects and disables suspect accounts without appeal using special behavior algorithms, we also manually disable reported accounts. Our top of the line Ai systems mBots are engineered to protect our users and to stop scams before they ever happen.
All other actions deemed illegal, asking the seller to use high risk payment methods such as cash, checks, zelle, cashapp, venmo payment methods, or requesting to meet locally outside mCoves platform (some heavy equipment listings can be picked up locally, however payment must be made through mCoves before the meet up, see our local meetup policy for more details.), asking for asking for any form of service in return for any products or discount, any actions that earn no merit. Indulging in any prohibited activity can restrict or suspend your account indefinitely depending on the severity of the offensive action.
How do I get notifications about sales?
The email address the customer provided when they registered their account will be used to send them notifications about sales, updates on their account, etc. To ensure no email is sent to the spam or junk folder, add mcoves@mcoves.com to your email contact list.
Peace of Mind Delivery Protection
When shopping anywhere online, your peace of mind is paramount. As an accredited online platform, we take pride in expressing that we prioritize your peace of mind. We created this set of rules to protect your money and your peace of mind. When a sale is made, the seller doesn’t receive the money instantly because sellers get paid after the order has been delivered, and this is to make sure that orders are fulfilled, as described and the customer is satisfied. If there is ever a case where the order wasn't delivered or tracking didn't update, first contact the shipping carrier listed on the order details page and provide your tracking number, and if they didn't resolve the issue (which is unusual), reach out to our support team with the case ID provided to you by the shipping carrier and we'll investigate, the investigation usually takes between 3 and 5 business days.. If the seller didn’t ship out or provide a shipping tracking number after 3 working business days as stated on our selling terms, we'll cancel the transaction and send a full refund to the buyer. However, if the order has passed it's estimated scheduled delivery date, but is still in transit or still at the shipping center we will wait till the shipping center either returns the item to the seller or completes the transactions before making any decisions. This is just a highlight of why our peace of mind policy is important, do read the terms statements below for more insights on how our peace of mind policy works.What is Peace of Mind Delivery Protection
Our Peace of Mind Delivery Protection covers all transactions on mCoves, this guarantee means customers can get their full money back in form of refund, reward points, gift certificates, if the shipping tracking number shows your order never got delivered and the issue was not your making like entering bad address or wrong shipping information, and also if the product is faulty or damaged and the seller listed it as good (not as described in the original listing), see our not as described policy for more details. Claims has to be submitted within 3 days of the order delivery to be considered valid.
When is Peace of Mind Delivery Protection applied
- When the buyer didn't receive their order
Even if the order was lost in transit or the seller refused to ship out the order as expected, if the customer didn't receive their ordered products 3 days after the expected delivery date indicated by the tracking number, the customer is entitled to a full refund, sellers are required to include tracking number with all order, if the order is not received, and the seller didn't add a tracking number, in this case, the customer is also entitled to a full refund. - When the product is not as described (faulty, damaged and not mentioned in the listing)
If the order received by the customer is not as described on the listing page, the customer is entitled to a full refund, and sellers can be penalized for listing falsified ads on our platform. It's important for the customer to notify our trust and safety department 3 days after the delivery. Some condition applies to any product listed as broken, for parts or repair, and any adult related products and categories the not as described policy is not applicable to products listed in such category or item condition, and if the customer is not happy with such items they can only work out something with the seller and no action will be taken, unless the customer didn't receive such items. - When the seller takes longer than they specified to ship out the order
Sellers are required to ship out within 72hr of the initial order, however if the seller cannot fulfill the order within the ship out duration they have specified on the listing, the customer is entitled to a full refund only if the order is not yet in transit, if the order is already in transit, the order will be processed and the seller's account will be penalized for failure to ship out as indicated. - When the seller takes vacation without completing a transaction
If a seller decides to go on vacation in the middle of a transaction, without properly completing the transaction, the customer will be entitled to a full refund only if the order is not yet in transit, if the order is already in transit the seller will be penalized and may be suspended from selling depending on the seller's history. - When the seller fails to fulfill their return policy
If a seller didn't honor their return policy as described on the listing, the customer will potentially get their money, once they can provide a tracking number that shows the product has been returned to the seller's return address within 3 days of the order.
When is Peace of Mind Delivery Protection NOT applied
- When the transaction was completed outside mCoves platform
Whenever a transaction is completed outside our platform, that transaction is not considered legal as far as mCoves is concerned and such transactions will NOT be covered by our Peace of Mind Delivery Protection or any other policy on our platform and users participating in such prohibited act risks having their account restricted indefinitely, our team is not responsible for such transactions conducted outside our platform. - When the product is listed as broken, damaged or for parts
Product listed under the condition broken, for parts or repair are not covered by our "not as described policy" and if the customer is not happy with such items they can only work something out with the seller and no action will be taken, But in the case that the customer didn't receive their ordered broken or for part or repair products, such cases are covered under our Peace of Mind Delivery Protection and will be investigated. - When eligible payment methods weren't used
Payments such as bank transfer, cash, money orders, escrow services are not covered by our Peace of Mind Delivery Protection because there's no way to track or hold such payment, any payment made outside mCoves is 100% not covered by our Peace of Mind Delivery Protection, when payment is made within our platform it doesn't go directly to the seller, our trust and safety department holds the fund till the item is delivered then, the fund is dispersed to the sellers, by doing so we can control and refund customer's money when necessary, but our team cannot manage payments or agreements made outside our platform that's why we strictly forbid such actions. - When the product falls in to our excluded category
Adult contents or materials, Real Estate, Websites, Businesses for Sale, Classified Ads, Services, Digital content, Intangible goods, Non-fungible tokens (NFTs), travel tickets or vouchers, Industrial equipment and heavy machinery, motor vehicles, including recreational vehicles, aircraft and boats; these products are excluded from our Peace of Mind Delivery Protection, but in the case where the order was not received our team will investigate and resolve the issue if tracking number is provided through a legitimate shipping courier, if there's no tracking number provided by the seller, after 48 hours, the customer is entitled to get their Money back, if they made payment through our verified means. - When the customer fails to send the item back within the specified amount of time
If a customer requests to return an item they have a limited amount of time within 72 hours to return the product to the seller, failure to do so the transaction will be completed, and the buyer can no longer return be able to return such products.
What products are covered by our Peace of Mind Delivery Protection?
Virtually all products are covered or protected by our money back policy. However, some condition applies to any product listed as broken, for parts or repair, or any adult related products the "not as described policy" is not applicable to products listed in such category or item condition, but in the case the item is not received regardless of the product's condition, our money back policy will be applied, our Peace of Mind Delivery Protection is only valid 3 days after the order was placed or the delivered.
